12/6/2023 0 Comments You are my all in all chords ing![]() Recording Ĭarey and Afanasieff had worked together since her debut album in 1990. In her 2020 memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, Carey revealed how "My All" was also inspired by a secret romantic rendezvous she and baseball player Derek Jeter had during her time in Puerto Rico. When she arrived back to New York, she already had the melody developed, and soon began working on the song in San Francisco with Afanasieff. During her stay, she was influenced by the Latin culture, and began harmonizing and singing the music she heard there. Ĭarey began to infuse her personality into her work, something that showed throughout various tracks. That's why think a lot of people felt very strongly about that song, because the emotion is clear when you listen to it. ![]() It was like being in a situation but you want to break free and you can't, so you're confined yet you're releasing those emotions through the lyrics and the actual act of singing. It was at a melancholy point in my life and the song reflects the yearning that was going on inside of me. When I came back, the melody was in my head. I had gone to Puerto Rico and was influenced by Latin music at that moment. ![]() Carey expressed how the mixed emotions she felt at that point in her life helped develop the song, as she would "pour herself and emotions into anything she was writing at the time." In an interview with Fred Bronson, Carey expressed how a visit to Puerto Rico and the current emotions in her life inspired her to write "My All": Additionally, Carey began incorporating other musical genres into her songwriting, assisting her in developing new ideas and melodies. She considered this period in time to be a "redefining moment for herself," as she began making the music she truly loved, R&B and hip hop. In France, due to strong sales, the song was certified gold by the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP).Ĭarey began writing and composing themes for Butterfly by the end of 1996. Throughout Europe, the song performed moderately, peaking at number four in the United Kingdom and in the top ten in Belgium (Wallonia), France, Spain and Switzerland. In the United States, the song became Carey's thirteenth chart topper on the Billboard Hot 100, and was certified double- platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "My All" received acclaim from music critics and charted strongly throughout various music markets. House music producer David Morales remixed the song, which was performed live as a medley with the original. The song was also part of Carey's 1998 Butterfly World Tour, and was performed during many future tours and concerts. "My All" was performed live on various occasions, including the 1998 World Music Awards and Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, Saturday Night Live, The Rosie O'Donnell Show and various European television and music chart programs. Towards the video's climax, Carey and her love interest climb atop a lighthouse and caress each other under the night's sky. It shows many scenes of Carey laying on a submerged vessel in a large body of water, while lamenting her lost lover. The music video for the song was released in March 1998. It is the first song Carey wrote for the Butterfly album. The song's lyrics tell of a lonely woman declaring she would give "her all" to have just one more night with her estranged lover. Carey was inspired to write the song and use Latin inspired melodies after a trip to Puerto Rico, where she was influenced by the culture. "My All" is built around Latin guitar chord melodies, and makes subtle use of Latin percussion throughout the first chorus, before taking on a more conventional R&B-style beat. The song was written and produced by Carey and Walter Afanasieff. It was released as the album's fifth single overall and second commercial single on April 21, 1998, by Columbia Records. " My All" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey from her sixth studio album, Butterfly (1997). 12/6/2023 0 Comments Smoothscroll for mac![]() If you need a clarification let me know.Īs a side note, I am having the same problem in split screen view with the OpenOffice file on the left, but that is a question for another forum. Needless to say, the side to side motion within the PDF is really tirying my eyes.ĭoes anyone know how to "lock" right to left motion. However, and this is what I am trying to "Lock" in that I get right to left motion within the PDF, as it thinks that I would really like to "see" what I have done on the margins, however in my case I have no use of looking at the margins. My optimal zoom is 84%, which in split view on my mac allows me to see the exact width of the TEXT in the PDF itself. However I cannot see the text itself, or well, it is quite small. If I have my zoom on the PDF at 75%, it scrolls greatĪnd I have zero right to left motion inside the view, as at 75% the margins are fully fitting. The scrolling is working well, but here is the catch: ![]() SmoothScroll is an app for smooth scrolling with the mouse wheel and keyboard buttons. This Mac app is a product of galambalazs. Our software library provides a free download of SmoothScroll 1.6 for Mac. I am doing some split-screen editing on my MacBook Air. Back to implementing pixel-based scrolling.Hi! My first question here and I believe here it where it fits best. I'd be comfortable tackling this way, however I believe the first approach would be the better one here. This would probably be less consistent with users' platforms (alternatlvely, would take a lot more effort to achieve consistency), but require less changes to how the UI is built. On the other hand, MuseScore could just continue reimplenting things that Qt already provides. I'm not comfortable enough with either of Qt or MuseScore to do this, but it would seem to my mind to be a better end-result. Buy now Download (5 MB) v4.6.4 for Mac OS X 10.6 to 13 Ventura or newer. ![]() However, this would require some heavy-handed changes to how the UI is currently put together. Qt provides a scrolling container that other widgets (like, for example, a score view) can be placed inside, and handles all scrolling very nicely and consistently with the user's platform. I bought a Wedge Touch Mouse hoping that would help but really it's just made the jerkiness more apparent - I enabled the 'flick' in the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard. The scrolling in windows drives me batty how it jerks around so stiffly. However, because it looks like MuseScore 2 has changed to its ScoreView to directly subclassing QWidget and manaully reimplementing scrolling etc, we can't easily benefit from this. On a Mac I used a Magic Mouse and got very used to the per-pixel scrolling as well as the inertia etc. It's also somewhat reinventing the wheel (or trackpad, hurr hurr hurr), as Qt already implements this in its widgets. To help with this, please follow the relevant steps in these Apple resources, including checking for sources of wireless interference: If your pointer is jumpy when you use a trackpad, Magic Trackpad, or Magic Mouse. This is a little more involved and I've not done such a system before. If we understand correctly, you are unable to use an external mouse with your Mac, as you have an issue with scrolling. The other aspect is interpolating larger scroll events (like from traditional mice and older trackpad drivers) to scroll smoothly by moving an appropriate delta each screen paint. This I am tackling now it's quite straight-forward (MuseScore's current scroll handling has been deprecated in Qt5 so it's definitely worth doing anyway). There are two aspects to what you may consider 'smooth scrolling' - the first is responding appropriately to high-resolution scroll events, like you would receive on Mac OS from an Apple trackpad or on Windows with a Logitech smooth scrolling mouse with Flow Scroll installed. 12/6/2023 0 Comments 517 a oops i did it againI want to have a really cute spaceman, but there can't be any rockets,'" director Nigel Dick recalled her telling him. 12/5/2023 0 Comments Drift streets japan wheel![]() Drifting has since exploded into a form of motorsport in North America, Australia, Asia and Europe. Entrants included Rhys Millen and Bryan Norris. Daijiro Inada (founder of the Japanese D1 Grand Prix), the NHRA Funny Car drag racer Kenji Okazaki, and Keiichi Tsuchiya gave demonstrations in a Nissan 180SX that the magazine had brought over from Japan. One of the earliest recorded drift events outside Japan took place in 1996 at Willow Springs Raceway in Willow Springs, California, hosted by the Japanese drifting magazine and organization Option. He has also drifted through every turn in Tsukuba Circuit. In 1988, alongside Option magazine founder and chief editor Daijiro Inada, he helped to organize one of the first events specifically for drifting called the Ikaten (short for Ikasu Hashiriya Team Tengoku). ![]() The video, known as Pluspy, became a hit and inspired many of the professional drifting drivers on the circuits today. In 1987, several popular car magazines and tuning garages agreed to produce a video of Tsuchiya's drifting skills. Tsuchiya began practicing his drifting skills on the mountain roads of Japan, and quickly gained a reputation amongst the racing crowd. Keiichi Tsuchiya, known as the "Drift King" ( ドリフトキング, Dorifuto Kingu), became particularly interested by Takahashi's drift techniques. As professional racers in Japan drove this way, so did street racers. The bias-ply racing tires of the 1960s–1980s lent themselves to driving styles with a high slip angle. This earned him several championships and a legion of fans who enjoyed the spectacle of smoking tires. ![]() Famous motorcyclist turned driver Kunimitsu Takahashi was the foremost creator of drifting techniques in the 1970s. It was most popular in the All Japan Touring Car Championship races. ![]() More recently, drifting as a specialized competition became popular in Japan. Later, British racing driver Stirling Moss improved upon Nuvorali's technique, mastering the art of drifting through curves in Formula 1 races by steering with the accelerator pedal. Automotive icon Enzo Ferrari credits Italian driver Tazio Nuvolari as being the inventor of the four-wheel drift. History Origin ĭespite the popular belief that drifting originated in 1970s Japan, this driving technique was first practiced in Europe before 1950. Drifting competitions are held worldwide and are judged according to the speed, angle, showmanship, and line taken through a corner or set of corners. Īs a motoring discipline, drifting competitions were first popularized in Japan in the 1970s and further popularized by the 1995 manga series Initial D. This sense of drift is not to be confused with the four wheel drift, a classic cornering technique established in Grand Prix and sports car racing. Drifting is traditionally done by clutch kicking (where the clutch is rapidly disengaged and re-engaged with the intention of upsetting the grip of the rear wheels), then intentionally oversteering and countersteering. car is turning left, wheels are pointed right or vice versa, also known as opposite lock or counter-steering). The technique causes the rear slip angle to exceed the front slip angle to such an extent that often the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn (e.g. Steve Moore drifting his Nissan Silvia (S14) around Lydden Hill at King of Europe Round 3 (2014)ĭrifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, with loss of traction, while maintaining control and driving the car through the entirety of a corner.
